WSESD / WSESU Informational Meeting on Education Restructuring as per Act 73

The Boards of Windham Southeast School District and Supervisory Union invite you to bring your questions and concerns to a Community Forum which will take place:
April 25, 2026
2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Brattleboro Union High School Auditorium
Meet with your neighbors in Windham Southeast, Windham Central, and Windham Northeast, as well as with local legislators to learn about forthcoming developments concerning Act 73. This Act will impact the way our school districts are organized, significantly affecting the education of children in our region.
Let’s come together to listen to our local legislators present their perspectives. Bring questions and concerns regarding all aspects of these forthcoming developments. The format will include the moderator presenting these significant issues to a panel of our elected legislators.
- Mergers of Districts and Supervisory Unions
- Changes in how education is provided
- Funding of our schools to a foundation formula
- Possible school closures and their effect on small towns
- Tax rates and property values
- Restructuring of School Boards and local Administration
The issues currently being debated in the House and the Senate will significantly affect how our voices are heard in our respective towns and districts.
