Time to "Update" the "Memories"
“Dorothy McGuire, Joan Blondell, Ann Bancroft…” Most of the folks who would recognize those names have, umm, already gone on to meet their fathers and mothers. Would be better to give the names of the films and a small thumb-nail descriptions. Most of the actresses named were associated with “B”-grade stinkers.
I remember those actresses
I remember those actresses and I am very much alive. Movies like “The Graduate” certainly remain worthwhile and classic. And, some of those “B movie” actors and actresses made very entertaining films. You do realize that these movies are at the Senior Center where there are, undoubtedly, many people who remember and enjoyed the actresses mentioned.
Really?
Anne Bancroft was an Oscar winner and nominated several other times. Blondell and McGuire were also nominees. Hardly “B grade stinker” actors. I remember all those actors and I’m not a senior citizen.
There must be an issue in using movie titles. The library doesn’t use them much, either.
