  • Kielbasa vs Chorico

Kielbasa, chorizo, chouriço… all seem similar but all have their own unique fan bases, too.

I was raised in upstate NY, where we had Kielbasa. Moving to New England and knowing people from Rhode Island, chouriço seems to be the sausage of choice.

Pronunciation is an issue. I see “chouriço” and say “sure-rico” but I am told the correct way to say it is closer to “sur-ees”…

So, with chouriço so popular in these parts, it was nice to see a mention of Kielbasa in the menu.

    • I love them both! Kielbasa

I love them both! Kielbasa with braised red cabbage and poppy seed noodles; chorizo in soups like Portuguese kale soup, paella and spicy pasta dishes.
Both are delicious in their own way.
