The size of four football fields.

It’s likely demand for the park’s facilities – which are free to use – will be high. The mega centre is home to 10 universities, more than 160,000 students and 20,000 staff, many of which are in walking distance of the facility.

The article also touches upon shifting demographics and trends within the sport.

Wonder what”s happening with our tiny fractal version for these parts?

  • The size

… is 182,986 square feet, or about 4.2 acres.

    • World's smallest skatepark

Brattleboro’s (BASIC’s) skate park is now proposed to be reduced to 5,000 sq. ft. to abut (or butt into)the play set at Crowell Park. Again I ask, is this really the best use of this open space people already utilize and enjoy as is, and won’t kids get bored with this less than thrilling version or are we just settling once again on this unsuitable site because fortitude to find a better location by town officials is lacking imagination keeping the community perpetually divided on this issue. Doesn’t Brattleboro deserve a better/bigger (maybe indoor) skate park site downtown?

  • Support RESITE

Please support RESITE at the next select board meeting to approve or disapprove a reduced version of the proposed skate park at Crowell Park, it’s time to shift gears on this issue and seek real compromise for additional support and a better solution for all those concerned.
