Harris Hill Ski Jump February 18, 2024: Sunday Results and Highlights – Fred Harris Memorial Tournament

Brattleboro, Vermont (February 18, 2024) – The 102nd Harris Hill Ski Jumping competition came to a close this afternoon, with the Fred Harris Memorial Tournament, in Brattleboro, Vermont.

The jumper who wins the Fred Harris Memorial Tournament three times retires the famed Winged Trophy, unique to Harris Hill Ski Jumping. Today’s winner in the Men’s Open class was Uhr Rosar (SLO) with a jump of 98 meters. On the women’s side, the Open class was won by Nejka Zupancic (SLO). Additional winners of the day include Max Fey(USA) for Men’s U16, Jack Kroll (USA) for Men’s U20 and Ole Henning Holt (NOR) for the Masters division.

“I was so impressed with the overall caliber of jumpers this weekend, including how many jumps exceeded 90 meters,” said Todd Einig, Harris Hill Ski Jump director of competition. “Very noteworthy were the two Slovenian national women’s team jumpers Nejka and Lara, who easily out jumped a large majority of this weekend’s athletes.”

“With Ozbej’s second place finish today, he didn’t win another step towards the Winged Trophy yet, but his teammate Uhr did, and hopefully both will return to compete here next year,” continued Einig.

Today’s competitions also featured a Nordic Combined event, with the XC ski component run by the nearby Marlboro Nordic Center. Participants from the Nordic Combined used their jumps today as part of that competition. Winners today include US Cup women winner Kai McKinnon (USA), US Cup Men Caleb Zuckerman (USA) and Senior Men Tim Leuxe (USA).

Complete results can be found here.

Attendance for the entire weekend, including Friday’s inaugural nighttime jump, is estimated at 5,500.
