Brattleboro Fire Department New Hires

There has been a tremendous amount of change within the Brattleboro Fire Department over the last month which has included two new entry level firefighters being hired; two firefighters that have been promoted to lieutenant and two lieutenants have been promoted to the rank of captain. All of the candidates participated in a written test, oral board and Chiefs’ Interview. I am happy to announce the following hires and promotions;

Kyle Rabideau from Hinsdale, NH and a two year member of the Call Staff at BFD has been hired as an entry level firefighter. Adam Schaub from Meredith, NH and a ten year member of the Center Harbor Fire & Rescue in Center Harbor, NH has also been hired as an entry level firefighter. Both will start their orientation on September 26   and their shift assignments will begin during the first week of October.

Firefighter Kurt Schmidt, a ten year veteran of the Brattleboro Fire Department and Firefighter Josh Jones, a twelve year veteran of BFD have both been promoted to shift lieutenants and will begin their new assignments the last week of September.

Lieutenants Jason Davis and David Emery Jr have both been promoted to the rank of Captains and are responsible for the day to day operations of their shifts. Both Davis, a seventeen year member of BFD and Emery, also a seventeen year member, will assume their new roles next week.
