Well, I think U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders went too far with this bill, S. 4406 “End Polluter Welfare Act of 2024” because it appears that it will raise home heating fuel prices and car gas prices sky high for those of us who rely on such products.
Page 12, Section 115 explains that any amounts made available to the Department of Transportation, including the Federal Railroad Administration, MAY NOT BE USED to provide financial assistance to any project that transports fossil fuels. This apparently means that Railroads will be cut off from this type of funding, and that would raise our fuel and gas prices because most fossil fuel products are moved to Vermont by train.
What’s your opinion?
I was so concerned, I made a video
I call it “Tax Revolt 2024” because the intent of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders bill
is to stop giving our hard earned
tax dollars to the fossil fuel industry.
But, I go on to say that the alternative,
electric cars and solar panels, etc. allegedly rely on slave labor.
Please take a look at this, there are 6 co-sponsors to the bill in the U.S. Senate.
If this ever passes, it will devastate the majority of people in Vermont,
in my opinion.
If you agree with me, go ahead and give me a Write-in Vote
for U.S. Senator.

This subject of de-funding the Federal Railroad Administration was discussed in U.S. Senate debate in Missouri
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders wants to de-fund the government Dept. of Transportation & Federal Railroad Amdin. https://railroads.dot.gov We must vote Bernie out or railroads may not be able to transport fuels to Vermont for home heating and cars & trucks. Although they did not specify the bill title, this was a major issue in the recent U.S. Senate debate in Missouri where incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Josh Hawley said the Democrats were out to destroy the state of Missouri by depriving them of fossil fuels. They didn’t specify which Democrat bill in the U.S. Senate they were arguing over, just the main points that the Republians think the Democrats want to help China take over the U.S.A. and deprive Missourians of fossil fuels. The Democrat candidate in this debate is my first cousin’s son and his mother lives in Vermont. Here in Vermont, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is apparently up to the same thing. Hawley would say that... : )
You also want to get rid of the cosigners, too: Jeff Merkely, Cory Booker, Chris Van Hollen, Peter Welch, Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey. : )
This bill would aim to stop subsidizing fossil fuel with tax dollars and instead work on incentives for alternative energy.
Other things in the bill:
– Increase funding for the Black Lung Disability Trust Fund
– Incentives for geothermal wells
– Repealing fossil fuel subsidies
– Refined coal won’t count as “renewable electricity”
– Taxing crude oil removed from the Gulf of Mexico outer continental shelf
– Increasing oil spill liability trust fund
– Changes to how oil and gas companies are taxed
Seems fine to me, and also in no danger of passing. Nothing passes. : )
