The Progressive party in Vermont has no candidate for U.S. Congress in the August 11, 2026 primary election. Please write-in Cris Ericson for Representative to Congress on the Progressive Party ballot in the primary. The Republicans have two candidates, Gerald Malloy of Weathersfield and Marc Coester of Westminster. The Democrats have one candidate, current incumbent U.S. Congressperson Becca Balint. There are only 3 ballots to choose from when you vote in the Primary election August 11, 2026 in Vermont, Democrat, Republican or Progressive. Independent candidates have more time to collect and file petition signatures for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election.
Progressive Party in Vermont Has No Candidate for U.S. Congress 2026 So Please Write-in Cris Ericson
I’m Cris Ericson and I approve of this idea of you giving me a write-in vote.
I’m 74 years old and arthritic and have not been able to get out and collect
petition signatures to get myself on the ballot as an independent candidate.
I won the Progressive primary in 2020 and came in with 13% of the statewide
vote as a candidate for Auditor then. A party only needs to achieve 5% of the
statewide vote to keep their status as a major party. The Progressives only
have 3 different candidates, all for statewide offices, for the August 11, 2026
primary election. Rachel Shaw of Bennington is running for two offices, Secretary of State and State Senator. Zachary Hampl is running for State Treasurer and he is from Rutland. William “Bill” Coleman is from Newark and he is running for State Representative. There is no one running against each of
these candidates on the Progressive Party primary election ballot in Vermont August 11, 2026. I keep repeating the date hoping someone will show up to vote in the primary.
I honestly believe the Progressive party has a much better chance of staying a
major party if you all get out and take the Progressive ballot in the primary and give me a write-in vote for Representative to Congress. My federal issues of challenging tax laws is critical to bringing in more money to help people and support programs in Vermont.
I am a better candidate for Vermonters to give a write-in vote for on the Progressive ballot rather than any other candidate because I am the only candidate with 4 major federal level plans to bring a lot more money into the state of Vermont to support all kinds of programs people need to survive here. Please visit my website and learn. In the past, I campaigned for many long years to legalize marijuana, and finally the Democrats stole my platform and changed the popular name of the plant to cannabis and they legalized it under state law. Eventually they will smarten up and steal my plans to bring more money to Vermont, but they haven’t evolved enough yet. That’s why you need to take the Progressive party ballot in the primary and give me a write-in vote.

Cris Ericson has the solutions to create PROGRESS for people in Vermont
Just one person in Brattleboro, Vermont, claiming to represent the entire Progressive Party, has announced that Cris Ericson is not a Progressive. Let’s take a closer look at one of the Progressive Party Platform issues.
Progressive Party Platform:
“The Vermont Progressive Party strives to represent the interests of Vermont’s working majority, instead of the wealthy and powerful few.”
Cris Ericson wants to represent ALL VERMONTERS.
Cris Ericson believes she can IMPROVE the Progressive Party platform and bring a lot more PROGRESS to the people of the State of Vermont. The opportunity is there for the taking, the Progressives have no candidate for Representative to United States Congress on their August 11, 2026 Primary Election Ballot. They have NO ANSWERS to solve any problems on their Platform, just a long, long list of – they want this and they want that, – but no way to get it. Politically, they are like children screaming for candy with no Mommy to give it to them. Enter the new Mommy, Cris believes she can convince the wealthy and the powerful few to change how federal tax dollars are used, which under the current laws, makes the rich richer and the hard working people poorer, and deprives the low income hard working Progressives of what they say they need, their – I want this and I want that – list.
Cris believes she can convince the wealthy and the powerful few that the working people are more likely to show up for work if they can afford a decent car or truck and health insurance and child care. The wealthy and the powerful few rely on
countless people to serve them and they need these people to show up on time without excuses and to be nourished and strong from eating healthy food, and they need workers to have a roof over their heads and a safe home to sleep in so they don’t arrive at work exhausted, depleted, and more likely to have an on-the-job accident causing the employers time and money in court.
How is Cris going to help working people, and simultaneously
help the rich by making their lives smoother? After all, a great government should be designed to be a great government for everyone, not just one group, not just the Progressive Party working class folks in Vermont.
Here’s an example: Some people call what Walmart and other corporations seem to be doing a form of corporate welfare that only hurts low income working people, and Cris Ericson explains this as the “benefits trap”. If you work for a company or corporation at minimum wage and your total work hours put you below the poverty level, then you can apply for food stamps SNAP program, medicaid, fuel assistance and other benefits.
BUT this can put you in the “benefits trap” because some benefits require you to have a bank account balance BELOW $2,000. If you maintain a bank balance below $2,000. you can not afford a new-to-you used car when your rusted hunk of junk breaks down for the last time, you can not afford a roof repair to keep you and your family from the snow and rain and getting really ill, you can’t afford new shoes or eyeglasses, etc. So, originally the companies and corporations who decided to receive “corporate welfare” in the form of the government making up for them paying you your low minimum wage paychecks, have now learned that you may be in the “benefits trap” and have no car or truck to get to work in and you’re sick from your leaky roof and you can’t see to drive right because you can’t afford new glasses. The rich and the wealthy are having their schedules messed up because you can’t show up to work.
How do we get more money for the common people and simultaneously get more productive workers for employers?
Here is one of Cris Ericson’s solutions! READ CAREFULLY!
You pay taxes to the I.R.S. and then the United States Congress votes to give your hard earned tax dollars to about 400 or 500 of the wealthiest corporations. The U.S. Congress does not give these subsidies to all corporations. The corporations use your hard earned tax dollars to produce products they sell world wide for Billions $$$ of dollars in profits. Right now, they do not give you, the taxpayers, a share of their profits, even though they made their profits using your tax dollars.
Is that fair? No, it is not fair. Cris Ericson says we must DEMAND A TAX REVOLUTION! WE MUST DEMAND A TAX REVOLT! Cris Ericson asks you to do your revolutionary best and vote for her in the August 11, 2026 primary election in Vermont for Representative to U.S. Congress so she can parade around Washington D.C. with a protest poster and stand in front of the U.S. Congress with her protest poster, and then, as an elected U.S. Congressperson, march up and down the halls of the United States Congress with her protest poster and visit all of the offices of all of the other U.S. Congresspeople and DEMAND R.O.I., a RETURN ON INVESTMENT of our tax payer dollars to provide funds for States for dividend checks to citizens and to provide States with more funding for housing, healthcare, education, food assistance, property tax reduction, fuel assistance, etc.
This plan is NOT an increase in taxes on corporations, it is simply a fair demand that because they received taxpayer dollars in the form of “subsidies” that they must pay taxpayers the equivalent of dividends, of a return on investment of their tax dollars, R.O.I. because the corporations got richer using taxpayer dollars as “subsidies” and the working people got poorer having those tax dollars deducted from their paychecks.
Cris Ericson’s plans are all about stopping the abuse of workers which happens because the current federal laws allow the workers to be cheated, to have their money taken out of their paychecks and handed over to rich and wealthy corporations. Some people call this modern day slavery because if you don’t pay these taxes you go to prison, and some prisons have forced prison labor.
DEMAND a return on investment of your taxpayer dollars given to corporations as subsidies! Demand a share of profits corporations make using your hard earned tax dollars which they receive as subsidies. This is not double taxation because most corporations do not receive millions in subsidies, only some of them, so make them pay taxes PLUS a share of their profits made from YOUR HARD earned tax dollars. VOTE for Cris Ericson as a write-in candidate for Representative to U.S. Congress in the August 11, 2026 Primary Election in Vermont!
