Here We Go Again

To Senators : Pat Leahy and Bernard Sanders and Representative: Peter Welch

First off I want to make it perfectly clear that I am against supporting death directly or indirectly, regardless of who did it. However, the elephant in the room, the huge issue here that NO ONE wants to acknowledge is …

Did Assad’s forces do it?

The fact that this fundamental question continues to remain unaddressed by you is very telling. I wrote an open letter to all of you just a few days ago. This letter was also sent out to local news media. I got form letter responses back from every one of you. Not one ZERO, NADA NONE of you felt that this question needed to be addressed.

Did Assad do it? Even our beloved Senator Bernie Sanders would not touch this question. It seems because our president and his intelligence sources say so, it must be true.

Kerry and all the boys in Washington keep underscoring the horrific nature of this event.I think WE ALL AGREE, no one is arguing – this was a bad bad thing. No one questions this fact.

BUT AGAIN WHO DID IT?

Where’s the proof, the irrefutable evidence? Where’s the beef? Scores of soldiers and civilians were killed maimed and displaced in Iraq based on faulty intelligence. Remember WMD’s and the Parade of Liars that was orchestrated by the White House?

As public representatives it would seem that unquestionable, irrefutable proof that this horrible event was carried out by Assad forces and not US supported rebels would be a pivotal part of your job here.

On one hand we have the Syrian army. Do not misinterpret my words. I have no doubt that Assad is a brutal dictator. But by all accounts Assad forces are already winning the war and doing so without the use of chemical weapons. Using them would trigger EXACTLY the kind of US response that is now occurring. Foreign involvement could very well change the outcome of this war.

On the other side are US supported rebel forces. These guys are some of the nastiest thugs on the planet. I have seen a video clip of US supported rebel commander Abu Sakkar cutting a dead Syrian soldier’s ribcage open, pulling out his heart, eating it while chanting a poem to his soldiers. It is too graphic to share here but anyone can go to this You Tube clip by entering:

“Syrian rebel commander eating heart of dead soldier.” I warn you though it is very graphic, so be advised.

Further Carla del Ponte, a member of the U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were “strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof,” that rebels seeking to oust Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad had used the nerve agent.

I would hope that one of you feels that this issue is worth addressing. YOU are supporting these guys in our names. Who are they and who used the chemicals – the Assad forces or indirectly us? This has the scent of Iraq all over it.

If you are not familiar with the term willful blindness and what it means I encourage you study it BIG TIME. Members of the public who may read this letter I encourage ALL of you to watch a brief TedTalk video presented by Margaret Heffernan who discusses the dangers of “willful blindness.” It absolutely is not what you might think and is very much worth watching.

To the public: I would hope that you will send a visual message to your congressional delegation by standing in protest at the Holstein fountain tonight at 7PM
