This new family collaboration brings together legendary Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser with his sons, Galen and Cameron Fraser, and Galen’s Castilian wife, María San Miguel. Rooted in the Scottish repertoire that has shaped Alasdair’s musical life, and enriched by a deep connection to the Iberian Peninsula, the quartet creates a vibrant, contemporary sound that moves between fiery dance tunes, lyrical airs, original compositions, and unexpected musical journeys.

PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts and Twilight Music present a Singer/Songwriter Showcase featuring The Clements Brothers on Saturday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m. The evening begins with an in-the-round set by Charlie Chronopoulos, Leaf Silver & B.E. Farrow, and Talley Summerlin, before identical-twin duo George and Charles Clements take the stage.

The Clements Brothers bring a distinct blend of close vocal harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, and deeply felt songwriting. George, on guitar, and Charles, on bass, first entered the Americana scene in 2012 as members of the internationally touring grassroots band The Lonely Heartstring Band, which released two albums on Rounder Records. Since then, George has portrayed Paul Simon in the national production The Simon & Garfunkel Story, while Charles has performed in the bass section of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts and Twilight Music present an evening of acclaimed singer-songwriters on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage Arts, 15 Kimball Hill in Putney. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

The showcase will open with an intimate in-the-round performance featuring Luke Concannon, Midnight Betty, and Lizzy Mandell, before Joy Clark and her quartet take the stage for the evening’s featured set.

Louisiana-born singer-songwriter Joy Clark has earned national recognition for her warm, honest vocals, intricate guitar work, and songs exploring themes of freedom, love, and self-acceptance. Blending orchestral-style fingerpicking with blues-infused lead guitar, Clark creates a sound that is both intimate and expansive.

Putney’s Twilight Music series continues its tradition of intimate, listening-room concerts with a standout Singer/Songwriter Showcase on Friday, March 20, at Next Stage Arts. The evening opens with a special in-the-round set from Early Risers, Jake Klar, and Lizzy Mandell, before culminating in Andrea von Kampen’s debut performance at the venue.

The opening set brings three distinct voices together in a collaborative circle. Early Risers—known for their close harmonies and roots-rich arrangements featuring banjo, mandolin, piano, guitar, and shruti box—reunited in 2015 after solo careers and quickly found national traction. Their debut album, Making Life Sweet, topped the Folk DJ Charts, with multiple tracks landing in the top ten.

The evening features acclaimed Québec singer-songwriter Geneviève Racette, joined by genre-blending folk duo Hilary & G. Geneviève Racette has been turning heads across Canada and beyond with her emotive songwriting and ethereal voice. Since her 2014 debut, she’s built a bilingual following in both French- and English-speaking communities, earning acclaim from Rolling Stone, CBC, Exclaim!, and the Americana Music Association. Her 2022 album Satellite—highlighted by a duet with City and Colour’s Dallas Green—explores love, reflection, and resilience with rare emotional depth. Racette’s music has earned her a Canadian Folk Music Award, performances at top festivals, and radio play across North America.
