Brattleboro and VT COVID-19 Regional Dashboard Summary – March 2023

Here’s the March 2023 dashboard summary. We continue semi-regular COVID-19 dashboard numbers from the Vermont Department of Health, and MA and NH counties that surround Brattleboro, as long as they continue providing them.  Scroll down the new comments for the latest.

VT, NH, and MA all seem to be doing weekly updates now, near the end of the week.

    Statewide community levels: Low. For this seven-day reporting period, the rate of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 Vermonters is below 200. New COVID-19 admissions are below 10 per 100,000 Vermonters per day, and the percent of staffed hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 is below 10%.
    • New COVID-19 cases, last 7 days: 56.09 per 100k (decrease from last week) o Weeklycasecount:350
    • New hospital admissions of patients with COVID-19, last 7 days: 5.93 per 100K o 37totalnewadmissionswithCOVID-19(decreasefromlastweek)
    • Percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by patients with COVID-19 (7-day average): 2.92% (decrease from last week)
    • The seven-day rolling average of hospital patients admitted with a laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 has hovered around six during the most recent seven-day period. The number is the daily average of the previous seven days; for example, the value for May 28 is the daily average for the days of May 21 through May 27.
    • During this reporting period the proportion of emergency visits in participating emergency departments that included CLI was around or below 4%, slightly higher than the same period in 2022, which had recently seen a steep decline, and higher than the same dates in 2021.

    • New hospital admissions of patients with COVID-19, last 7 days: 6.89 per 100K o 43 total new admissions with COVID-19 (increase from last week
    • Percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by patients with COVID-19 (7-day average): 2.73% (slight decrease from last week)
    • The seven-day rolling average of hospital patients admitted with a laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 has hovered around six during the most recent seven-day period. The number is the daily average of the previous seven days; for example, the value for May 28 is the daily average for the days of May 21 through May 27.
    • During this reporting period the proportion of emergency visits in participating emergency departments that included CLI was between 3% and 4%, similar to the same periods in 2021 and 2022.
