Youth Services Seeks Volunteers for 2019

Youth Services is offering a Volunteer Training on Monday, January 7 from 6-9 p.m. at their offices in Brattleboro for community members interested in becoming more involved with the nonprofit. Volunteer opportunities range from helping on an ad hoc basis with transportation, meal prep, sharing parenting and life skills to more formal roles such as volunteering as a mentor for a youth-led screen printing business, sitting on a once-a-month Diversion Panel, or serving as a temporary Host Home.

Found Cat

I found this cat yowling unhappily in a tree on one of the tree streets tonight.  He’s an intact male with a gray mackerel coat with a white chest and paws.  He’s very sweet and friendly.  He doesn’t have a collar and has a few small wounds.  Is this your cat, or do you know who he belongs to?


Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department Offers Mini Camp

The Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is pleased to announce they will be offering a Mini Camp for children 5-11 year old (maximum 25 participants).  The camp will be held on Wednesday – Friday, December 26th – 28th from 8:30am to 1:30 pm at the Gibson Aiken Center. (Children may stay for Open Gym at 1:30 which is also a supervised program).

Played Out! LGBTQ+ Game Night at The Root

Calling all LGBT+ folk and allies! Join us for card games, board games, and dice games every month at The Root. We have plenty of games, and please bring your favorites as well as a friend or two.
