BCTV channel 8 schedule for the week of 3/13/17
The Brooks Memorial Library Main Reading Room and Mezzanine will be closed due to renovations March 19-25. The Children’s Room and Teen Room will remain open. We will be installing flooring in our first floor reading room. Materials may be requested via email and picked up in the Children’s Room when their arrival has been confirmed. Thanks for your patience as we build an even better Brooks Memorial Library.
March is Student Art Month in Windham County. spotlights and gives public recognition to the outstanding visual art created by our elementary, middle school, and high school students. Make sure you don’t miss the 2017 displays in Downtown, Brattleboro and at Brooks Memorial Library.

The Brattleboro VFW at 40 Black Mountain Road is open to the public for lunch. Lunch is served from 11:30 – 1:30. Specials are only $6 a plate. Burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken wings, soups and sandwiches are also available.

Next Stage invites you to enjoy An Evening in Tuscany with Chef Linda Stavely on Monday, March 27 from 6 to 8:30 pm. This class will be a mix of demonstration and hands on making a delicious dinner of Italian appetizers, entree, side dishes, and dessert. The class will dine together, and wine will be included!
The Brattleboro Arts Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 4:00pm in the Hanna Cosman Meeting Room at the Municipal Center.
The Brattleboro Selectboard will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6:00pm, in the Academy School gymnasium, just prior to the Representative Town Meeting Informational Session. It is anticipated that the Board will enter into executive session at 6:00pm to discuss negotiating or securing of real estate purchase or lease options, and immediately adjourn after the executive session.

Whatever torn wrappers, putrid chicken bones, dented old cans, sticky wet tissues and other debris may have filled the bag; they were merely the packing material to conceal the evidence.
The Brattleboro Food Co-op is looking for participants in two focus groups this month to solicit feedback and generate ideas for two endeavors currently underway: the Co-op’s Bulk department is being updated, and a new website is currently being designed.
