The Dummerston Community Center’s Annual Pampered Chef event will be held TODAY, Saturday, March 3, from 12:55 -2:55 p.m. at the Center, located at in West Dummerston. Kim Martin will host the show with new Spring products, recipes, demonstrations of many cooking needs, also hands-on cooking and the tasting of spices, sauces and rubs. There will be a special drawing at 1:00 p.m. and drawings through-out the show. Proceeds will assist in operating expenses for the Community Center. Brattleboro, Vt. – At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, tri-state fans of Early Music are invited to a benefit concert of “Airs, Arias, Madrigals & Tonos” at All Souls Church Unitarian Universalist, 29 South St., West Brattleboro. Admission at the door is $15 per person and includes a gala reception; proceeds will help support ASC community-based programs and the Meeting House.

A short agenda is in store for a Town Meeting Day Selectboard meeting, to be held at the Library as to accomodate voters at the Municipal Center.
The Brattleboro Energy Committee will meet on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 5:00pm in the Hanna Cosman Meeting Room at the Municipal Center.

Continuing in our series of interviews with Selectboard candidates, here is our interview with Tim Wessel, a current board member running again for a one-year seat on the board.
Just a straight up submission, no drafting or saving. Needs a minimum of 100 characters so I’ll type a bit more. The error box is bright red, which is a bit harsh. Am I up to 100 characters. I must be getting close. Okay, submit again. Agh, still wants 100. Is it 100 words. That might be. In that case, we should change the error to say 100 words, instead of just 100. I wonder how many words this is. Not fair to have to count them myself! ha! Okay submitting again on the hope that i have 100. Ugh. still says I need to get to 100 words. How do I do this. Maybe it isn’t 100 words. Maybe it is 100 something elses. If that’s true, I’m lost. One hundred cats? One hundred blocks of cheese? Oh, please let me have a successful submission!
So, I did everything fine but got messed up by the submit/save/draft. Maybe we can make it just submit?
We blew it. Yesterday was International Polar Bear Day, an annual event that raises awareness about the impact climate change has on polar bear populations.
The Brattleboro Selectboard will hold a special meeting on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00am in the Selectboard Meeting Room at the Municipal Center. It is anticipated that the Board will enter into executive session at 11:00am to discuss labor relations agreements with employees. No further business will be conducted.

This is a friendly reminder that early voting is currently available at the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office. Office hours for the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office are 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. In addition to regular hours, the office will open Saturday, March 3, from 9AM to noon for early voting and will be closed Tuesday, March 6, election day.
