Rehearsals are starting soon for the Guilford Chamber Singers’ (GCS) next appearance, which will be on Friday, June 8, as part of Friends of Music at Guilford’s season finale. This year’s A Cappella à la Carte events will be set at two churches in the Guilford village of Algiers, just a mile from Exit 1 off I-91. The concert portion of the evening will include sets by GCS and the Cantabile Vocal Ensemble, a Pioneer Valley quintet of Early Music
specialists.

The Brattleboro VFW located at 40 Black Mountain Road is open to the public for lunch. Lunch is served Mon-Fri from 11:30 – 1:30. Specials listed below are only $6 a plate. The Dummerston Community Center’s Annual Pampered Chef event will be held TODAY, Saturday, March 3, from 12:55 -2:55 p.m. at the Center, located at in West Dummerston. Kim Martin will host the show with new Spring products, recipes, demonstrations of many cooking needs, also hands-on cooking and the tasting of spices, sauces and rubs. There will be a special drawing at 1:00 p.m. and drawings through-out the show. Proceeds will assist in operating expenses for the Community Center. Brattleboro, Vt. – At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, tri-state fans of Early Music are invited to a benefit concert of “Airs, Arias, Madrigals & Tonos” at All Souls Church Unitarian Universalist, 29 South St., West Brattleboro. Admission at the door is $15 per person and includes a gala reception; proceeds will help support ASC community-based programs and the Meeting House.

A short agenda is in store for a Town Meeting Day Selectboard meeting, to be held at the Library as to accomodate voters at the Municipal Center.
The Brattleboro Energy Committee will meet on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 5:00pm in the Hanna Cosman Meeting Room at the Municipal Center.
The next meeting of the West Brattleboro Association (WBA) will be held on Thursday, March 8th
at 7:00 PM in the Hayes Court Community Room on Garfield Drive (just west of the West Brattleboro Post Office).
