The Brattleboro Selectboard will hold a special meeting on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00am in the Selectboard Meeting Room at the Municipal Center. It is anticipated that the Board will enter into executive session at 11:00am to discuss labor relations agreements with employees. No further business will be conducted.

This is a friendly reminder that early voting is currently available at the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office. Office hours for the Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office are 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. In addition to regular hours, the office will open Saturday, March 3, from 9AM to noon for early voting and will be closed Tuesday, March 6, election day.

Continuing our exploration of the March 6 ballot, here are some questions and answers regarding Article 2, a climate change matter. Daniel Quipp and Michael Bosworth provided the answers.
On Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1, from 9:00am -2:30pm, the Department of Public Works will have crews working on Western Avenue to repair potholes. On Wednesday the crews will be working on the east bound lane between Academy School and the I91 overpass. On Thursday, the crews will work on the west bound lane between the I91 overpass and Academy School. There will be several crews and large equipment in the roadway and police officers will be in the area for traffic control. The public should expect delays and avoid the area during those dates and times if possible.

Broad Brook Grange’s annual Sugar on Snow Supper will be held Saturday, March 3, at the Broad Brook Community Center in Guilford. The meal features ham, baked beans, deviled eggs, cole slaw, rolls, homemade donuts, and Guilford maple sugar on Guilford snow. New this year are scalloped potatoes. And the pickles accompanying the sugar on snow are now Guilford-made.
