Administration legalized them. For twenty four years the Clintons have orchestrated a conjugal relationship with Wall Street, to the immense financial benefit of both parties.
Winston Prouty Center for Child Development is hosting its 2nd Annual Indoor Mini-Golf Tournament for grownups and families on Saturday, March 5, 2016 and Sunday, March 6, 2016, respectively. The two-day “FUN-raiser” is open to the public.
Saturday’s tournament for grownups is a black-tie optional evening that will feature light dinner fare and a cash bar. The tournament will be from 6 to 9 p.m. and tickets are $25 per person.
Sunday’s family fun day will take place from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, or only $12 for a foursome if you bring your Saturday night scorecard.
Trump and Clinton have won decisive victories in conservative South Carolina. It’s all over! And both sides are making the wrong decision!
Or maybe it is not over. Most of the country hasn’t weighed in yet.
Some, like Vermont, will get their say on Tuesday. Others will be told on Wednesday that again, it’s all over! And everyone’s making a mistake!
Crafting for the Homeless is in its second year of meeting on the first Sunday of the month from 1-3:00 pm at Brattleboro Area Jewish Community, Congregation Shir Heharim.
Some people come to learn to knit or crochet, others arrive with projects already underway. Some are members of BAJC; some are not. All are welcome! So far, we have donated over 5 dozen items to Groundworks
Collaborative, and we are also making knitted or crocheted squares to be stitched into afghans that we will sell to generate funds to purchase supplies.
Our meetings are lively and welcoming, with adults and children of both genders who talk and work and share ideas and thoughts. Some people take yarn home to continue their work on projects.

The project team is now planning to close Upper Dummerston Road from 7:00 am-5:00 pm on Monday 2/29, and from 7:00 am to 5:00 PM Tuesday, 3/1 for beam erection.
At approx. 9:00 am on Monday, 2/29, two tractor trailer loads are scheduled to come from I-91 Exit 3 south on Putney Road around the Retreat Park to VT 30 and then to Upper Dummerston Road. This is may cause some minor delays in the downtown area. The remaining loads are expected to come from US RT 7 and VT RT 30 to Upper Dummerston Road, thereby avoiding downtown Brattleboro.
A total of three work days with Upper Dummerston Road closed are needed this coming week to complete the work.
This work will be rescheduled if there is any precipitation or adverse road conditions.
Broad Brook Grange’s annual Sugar on Snow Supper will be held Saturday, March 5, at the Grange hall in Guilford Center. The meal features ham, baked beans, deviled eggs, cole slaw, potato salad, rolls, pickles, homemade donuts, and Guilford maple sugar on Guilford snow (we hid some in a cool place!)
There will be three seatings: at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 pm. At each seating, a half-gallon of Guilford maple syrup will be raffled.

This weekend we learn how to draw some political cartoons. There’s really no right or wrong way to go, so these are just a few options and styles to get us going. The main rules are caricature and being tough on your subject.
First, a few drawing lessons. There aren’t a lot of videos about drawing the current slate of candidates, but there are some. (If you find others, add them in the comments.)

S.241 Vermont marijuana Bill does NOT make marijuana legal like alcoholic beverages: (1) because you can brew your own alcoholic beverage at home in Vermont, and this bill does NOT allow you to plant a seed in the ground and grow your own marijuana at home; (2) because the state government does not raid your home and count your cans of beer, but in the new Bill, S. 241, the state will raid your home and count every single seed you have, or have planted, and send you to prison if you are not one of the chosen few to pay a high price for and receive a license to commercially grow and sell marijuana.
S.241 was written for the express purpose of making the rich even richer, and sending the poor to prison for the benefit of the private-for-profit prison industry.
Hosting an event for parents and other members of the Brattleboro community to come talk about what they have experienced and what they might need for the future/what might be useful to them to trek through the daily life.
We are trying to collect information to decide what to do with a grant; the end result being we better family and educational life in children.

I-91
To reduce congestion on I-91, both Exit 3 on ramps will be closed on Sunday, February 28, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. I-91 will remain open.
Sunday afternoon closures of the Exit 3 on ramps will continue each weekend through the end of the ski season.
Northbound I-91 traffic has been relocated onto the southbound bridge. Traffic will remain reduced to one lane in each direction on I-91 until completion of the new bridge. The new bridge will be 104’ wide and is designed to carry all four lanes of traffic –two northbound and two southbound.

BURLINGTON, Vt., Feb. 25 – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) made the following statement after the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation determined several residential and commercial wells in North Bennington contained elevated levels of the chemical, Perfluorooctanoic (PFOA), a possible carcinogen.
“I am very concerned that Vermont environmental officials have found high levels of a possible carcinogen in several North Bennington wells. The state must continue to aggressively investigate the well water situation in North Bennington, keep families informed, and ensure Vermonters have access to clean and safe water. Moreover, the state must hold the polluters responsible for their actions.”

Windham County voters- Please look up the first vote on Wed by the Senate on S.241, the marijuana legalization bill. Our Senator, Becca Balint, voted against it. Jeanette White voted in favor and she has championed this bill from the start. We need to remember this at election time
