Disneyland
I just heard via NPR, that a single admission to Disneyland costs just $209, 00.
Ain’t that just special?
Fear, not: It still costs only $25.00 for parking.

The River Gallery School of Art has received funding from The Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Foundation, The Vermont Community Foundation, Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, The Anne Slade Frey Fund, and the Windham Foundation to continue their Art for Social Change Program. The program, which started in 2019 focuses on the healing aspects of art and mindfulness for marginalized populations, community caregivers and the general public. The emphasis of these classes, offered free of charge, is not on art technique but offering an opportunity to play with art materials in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Tom Pirozzoli is celebrating Reckon by the Light, the newest CD in his 40-years-and-counting career. He got his start busking on street corners and performing at anti-war rallies, eventually finding his way into the coffeehouse scene. His Fast Folk Music recordings are now part of the Smithsonian’s collection. He was named a winner in MUSICIAN magazine’s Best Unsigned Band Contest in the early ’80s, and has shared stages with artists like Greg Brown, Jesse Winchester, and Doc Watson. “Pirozzoli’s observations and travels bring seemingly dissimilar elements to harmony.” — Boston Globe

Spoiler Alert: If you plan to read The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope, be aware that I’m going to spill the beans on fairly major plot elements.
I bought it for the title – and the introductory essay by David Brooks, whose description of the novel’s contemporary relevance immediately evoked Donald Trump. It being 2017, I was vulnerable to the book’s themes, and ventured to embark on this 900 page account of British society circa 1870 and the fabulously wealthy foreigner who briefly upends their world. The book is, of course, The Way We Live Now, by Anthony Trollope. The disruptive foreigner is a Frenchman by the name of Augustus Melmotte, Esq., whose reputation and aura as the richest man in all the land soon has London society fawning at his feet.
