Anyone know what the almost-windowless and doorless, tan, oversized loads going through town are? There seem to be some sort of utlitites attached to the back, maybe air, but otherwsie they are quite non-descript.

I am finally ready to upgrade from my flip-phone, so it is time to make a purchasing decision

I have heard that geeks prefer the android system, but less technically astute people (like me) would find an iphone more user-friendly. Then other people say, “No, no, that’s not true. You won’t have any problem with an android, and you’ll love it!”

That leaves me paralyzed, unable to come to a decision. I would be very interested in the persepctive of ibrattleboro participants.

Does anyone know of any place in town that does ear piercing? The new-ish store on Main Street – Void- was planning on offering piercing options but apparently ran into some resistance from the town and state. ‘Welcome to Brattleboro- where smal business dreams come to die.’  Anyway, if anybody knows of a place I’d appreciate the information. Thanks!

I was traveling West on NH Rt 9 about 11 this morning, when more than several NH State Police cars passed me with lights flashing and sirens blaring.

Does anybody know how much the rent is for an apartment at Westgate? I am thinking about moving back to Brattleboro and am trying desperately to find affordable housing, if any exists there besides maybe the Co-op building.

In the vein of a recent post to iBratt, does anyone have information on how to dispell a curse or a hex, from a Voodoo doll or otherwise?  Some may see this as a frivolous request but it is not.  Confirmation that there is, indeed, a curse applied would hopefully be part of the protocol.

I’ve looked on the parking enforcement website but cannot find any information concerning Disabled Parking. Is it free? Can a person park there all day?

Anybody know what happened to the tree in the Crowell Lot around 3/17? Lightning? Wind? I think D&E Tree was on the scene to clean up the body. The kids just got a new piece of playground equipment – 2 tree stumps. While I’m at the Crowell Lot, has anyone noticed the basketball stuck in the tree about 50 feet up?

Our neighborhood in Guilford is beyond the terminus for cable, so we use Fairpoint DSL, which is, let’s say: better than dial-up. It looks as though a newish company called VTel is promoting itself as intending to cover all of Vermont with good broadband, via, as I understand it, a combination of fiber-optic and some wireless technology. They may be making progress on reaching our area. So I’m asking if anyone knows about them, or, possibly, uses their services?  There have been some similar-sounding schemes lately that haven’t turned out well (see the Great Auk story in today’s Reformer.)
