The President has withdrawn the US from the Paris agreement, a 200 country effort to limit global warming to 2 degrees celsius (3.6 degrees F) over the pre-industrial era. We’re currently about 1.5 C above normal. There isn’t much wiggle room, and it isn’t a good time to thumb a nose at working together to keep the planet livable.

Twilight Music begins its 15th annual Twilight On The Tavern Lawn series of folk rock, world beat, rock, pop, Celtic, blues and bluegrass summer concerts on Sunday, May 28 with blues quartet Sunny Lowdown and the Ice Cream Men. The seven concert series continues every other Sunday through August 20. All concerts begin at 6:00 pm in downtown Putney on the Putney Tavern lawn (bring a lawn chair or blanket) or at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in case of rain. The series is sponsored by the Town of Putney, Soundview Paper Company, The Putney Food Co-op, The Stockwell Brothers and many other Putney businesses and organizations. PART 3 FEDERAL MARIJUANA LAWS: In part 3 we look at some of Title 21, and then take another break, because reading marijuana laws is really boring; or too shocking and upsetting to read the draconian prison terms. No wonder the U.S. Congress got away with making so many laws, they just figure the public goes to sleep trying to read them.
