Brattleboro and VT COVID-19 Regional Dashboard Summary – July 2025

It’s the July 2025 dashboard summary. We continue semi-regular COVID-19 dashboard numbers from the Vermont Department of Health, and MA counties that surround Brattleboro, as long as they continue providing them.  New Hampshire has shut down their reporting. Numbers are low, but not zero. Scroll down the new comments for the latest.

VT and MA do weekly updates, near the end of the week, so we update on Fridays usually. Variant updates are every two weeks.

    VT ( Wednesday updates)

    July 2, 2025

    LP.8.1, LF.7 and XFG are the most common circulating variants. Limited specimen quantities may
    impact proportion accuracy particularly starting 4/27. 3/2/25 data are delayed. For more timely
    data, see the National SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Surveillance System which includes data from Vermont
    and other states. Source: Vermont Department of Health Whole Genome Sequencing program.

    Concentrations are low/very low at South Burlington, Essex Junction, Montpelier, St. Albans, and
    Ludlow. There are modest rises at Burlington and Middlebury. Some week-to-week fluctuation is
    expected.

    0 new confirmed deaths

    Hampshire – 5 cases
    Berkshire – 5 cases
    Hampden – 36 cases

    Data collection for the 2024-2025 Viral Respiratory season ended on June 28. The final update to the dashboard was posted July 3. Data collection for the 2025-2026 season has begun and routine updates to the dashboard will resume later this summer.

    Variant Update

    “Due to low numbers of sequences being reported to CDC, precision in the most recent reporting period is low. CDC is moving to longer reporting periods to gather the number of sequences required to provide reliable Nowcast estimates.”
