It’s not often that something happens that cries out to be corrected and then, in a matter of days, it is. I’m not talking about Vermont’s GMO law either (which Congress mooted within the month) – no, I’m talking about Indigenous Peoples Day which has been proposed, here and elsewhere, as a less racist and more fair alternative to traditional Columbus Day. Unfortunately, honoring native American people was not something the Selectboard could get its collective mind around and Indigenous Peoples Day lost here in Brattleboro by a vote of 2-3. But just when you thought all was lost, along comes Governor Shumlin with a state-wide proclamation of Indigenous Peoples Day, signed, sealed, and delivered. What do you know, we get to celebrate Indigenous People’s Day after

DESCRIPTION:
Sec. Hillary oversaw regime change wars in Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, S. Sudan, Syria, Yemen; should be asked to explain new Toyota trucks/heavy weapons coming to ISIS/other terrorists, who have been mass murdering US designated enemies in Assad’s Syria and Shiite wherever they are; why superpower US ‘fighting’ for 5 years can’t defeat ragtag force of 25,000; involved false flags attacks on US to prove innocence?
DESCRIPTION:
As Sec. of State Clinton oversaw US wars for regime change that continue in Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen, and now threatens Russia and China. Her opponent says enough. (US regime change wars from Greece, Korea, Iran, Vietnam, Laos, Guatemala, Congo, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Lebanon, Cuba, Panama, Ethiopia Somalia, S. Sudan, Grenada, El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen.)
Once again, the NY Times has been unfair to The Donald, by reporting the facts.
“And when you’re a star they let you do it,” Mr. Trump says. “You can do anything.”
Mr. Trump then elaborated and added, “Grab them by the pussy.”
“I apologize if anyone was offended,” Trump. (One of those “if anyone was offended” apologies: as though he does not actually admit that he did anything wrong, except that in the eye of the beholder it might have been interpreted as offensive.)
Hey, y’know what time of the year it is?
OCTOBER.
This means it gets dark out..
This means when your children* are dressed in dark colors I can’t see them, especially when there’s lots of traffic coming the other way with their headlights on, and your children are standing by the side of the road where there’s no streetlight.
Now, obviously your children are not maimed or dead – EVEN THOUGH THEY DARTED INTO THE ROAD – because my headlights picked up their movement at the last possible second.

Storyboarding was developed to a high art form by Walt Disney and his team of artists. He found that by arranging little drawings that correspond to all key points in an animated script, he and his animators could pre-visualize a cartoon before making it.
This was important for two reasons. One – animation was time consuming and expensive, and the better it was planned in advance, costs could be kept under control. Having a frame by frame guide to what should be done helped keep everyone on track and within budget (more or less.)
Police are looking for this fellow, wanted in conjunction with (another) bank robbery on Main Street.
From the location of partol cars, I’d say this was TD Bank.
“Do not attempt to contact. Call Bratt PD @ 802-257-7950 or your local police.”
Legendary Saxophonist Chico Freeman to Perform at the Vermont Jazz Center on October 15th with Working Quartet
The Vermont Jazz Center is honored to welcome legendary saxophonist, Chico Freeman with an all-star quartet on Saturday, October 15th at 8:00 PM. He will be performing with pianist Luis Perdomo, bassist Kenny Davis and Kush Abadey on the drums.
Although Freeman moved to NY from Chicago in the mid-1970s, his strong roots, family ties and openness to a variety of musical styles continue to link him to the Windy City. He embodies the Chicago sound – his playing is saturated with the history of that city’s deep, musical heritage. Freeman’s tone is breathy and full, he is open-minded and emphasizes creativity as well as precision; he approaches every tune as if his life depends on it.

On Healing Two Arms
The bones demand many naps
and I deny them not a thing.
But napping leads to dreamland
where Startle-man is King.
Boulders fall in his catacombs,
boards fly through his walls,
his bears tear holes in canvas tents,
and his horses kick through stalls.
