In 1975 Yes had already been together for 7 years. They didn’t make the “big time” until 1971’s “Fragile” album which was to establish them as first-class Progrockers. Their “Close to the Edge” in 1972 was a hit and their worldwide tour established them as arena-fillers.Though rarely on the top ten hits list, and with several different line-ups, they’ve been around now for 45 years and are currently touring the US in another incarnation.
This film is from the “Close to the Edge” tour in December1972, with songs from the album of the same name. The performances are at London’s Rainbow Theatre. The line-up is:
Jon Anderson- lead vocals
Chris Squire- bass, backup vocals

What’s all the blue stuff in this picture?
The picture is of the Bavarian town of Stadtsteinach in the Frankenwald, about a four-hour train ride from the airport in Frankfurt, Germany. The town is described by Thom Hartmann in his book Rebooting the American Dream.
Here’s how Thom describes it.
This week’s concert is Aerosmith live in Houston on June 24, 1977, a few years prior to their need to “come back” with Run DMC in the 1980’s.
Are they New England’s best rock band? Are they America’s best rock band?
This 4rth of July, 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the end of the battle of Gettysburg. It is worth noting the important part that soldiers from our state played in that battle.
I’m not a Civil War history buff, but I have read Howard Coffin’s Nine Months to Gettysburg. It is the account of the Second Vermont Brigade whose nine month enlistment was days from expiring when the fighting at Gettysburg began.
