The Brattleboro VFW located at 40 Black Mountain Road is open to the public for lunch. Lunch is served Mon-Fri from 11:30-1:30 pm. Specials listed below are only $6 a plate. Hand made burgers, fries, sweet potato fries, wings, onion rings, soups and sandwiches are also available. Take out available by calling 257-0438

Here’s some Brattleboro trivia for you. What local radio station is the first to have a legal stream of all programming on their station?
The first meeting of the Brattleboro Selectboard in 2018 was almost entirely about money. They continued their discussion of remaining FY19 budget issues, narrowing the list of undecided items by saying yes to some and maybe to others. It makes for a rather high potential tax increase, but many decisions remain that could bring the proposed rates down again. More budget meetings are planned.
